A new survey has shown that almost two thirds of consumers are less likely to return goods that they buy online compared to those that they buy on the high street.
The report commissioned by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills found that 60 per cent of online shoppers were less likely to return products despite the extra seven day cooling off period.
UK consumers are now the top online shoppers in Europe, spending £38 billion over the internet last year, a figure which accounted for 10 per cent of total UK retail sales.
