Just days after Google unveiled the upgraded version of its Street View software the company has been hit by a backlash over privacy concerns.
Since announcing near universal coverage of UK roads last week the company has had to face numerous complaints about the level of detail revealed in its pictures.
According to the Telegraph newspaper the company was forced to apologise and remove pictures, as well as the license plates of cars.
At the same time a survey by discount code website myvouchercodes.co.uk revealed that 57 per cent of people found Street View intrusive and a quarter of people regarded it as 'a service for burglars'.
