What is PayPal Standard?

PayPal Website Payments Standard is one of two PayPal options for taking online payments through your Storefront website – the other is PayPal Express. 

It allows you to accept credit and debit card payment online

Pricing

PayPal Standard doesn’t have any upfront fees – you don’t have to pay anything to set up an account to receive payments or any monthly fees.

For every sale you make, you will be charged a ‘transaction fee’ by PayPal – the fee depends on the volume of your sales. 

Your monthly sales Your fee per transaction Examples
£0 - £1,500 3.4% + 20p £3.60 fee on a £100 sale
£1,500.01 - £6,000 2.9%* + 20p £3.10 fee on a £100 sale
£6,000.01 - £15,000 2.4%* + 20p £2.60 fee on a £100 sale
£15,000.01 - £55,000 1.9%* + 20p £2.10 fee on a £100 sale
Above £55,000 1.4%* + 20p £1.60 fee on a £100 sale
